The question will not be what, but how to feed a population once it reaches 10 billion. Since 1985, due to agricultural engineering advances, the earth has yielded more food than we can possibly consume – yet geopolitical structures continue to leave millions of people dying of starvation.

我們面臨的問題不是“什麼是人口泡泡”，而是我們要如何在人口數量達到100億時讓所有人能夠吃飽飯。1985年以來，農業快速發展，土地的糧食產量已超出我們的預料。儘管如此，依然有數百萬人由於地緣政治而死於饑餓。
