Across the globe female life expectancy is close to 4 years greater than that of males. Here, countries are categorized into four groups: white countries have an equal M:F life expectancy; the few black lined countries are those with a higher Male life expectancy; in light red countries Females live 1x - 1.1x longer than Males; and the dark red countries have the greatest disparity, a 1.1x - 1.2x ratio. In the Russian Federation, female life expectancy is greater than that of males by 10 years.
